I guess you do not actually want to perm your hair just set it.
You can get setting lotion to use and you will also need perm end papers.

I’m reasonably confident that as a child I was told that putting your fingers in an electrical socket would make your hair curl, but I never tried it.

Also, I think it would be difficult to make target only certain parts of your hair, so probably best just to ignore me.
